Well we managed to go to plan 'B'. Instead of Assateague National Seashore we are heading to the state park on the island. Since the park already had weekends booked we will be leaving the area one day earlier than planned. As I sit here on the night prior to departure I have the trailer hooked up and loaded with our luggage and the generator . It's off to Naval Weapons Station, Earle for an overnight and than we are off to our favorite place.
I still wonder how it benefits the government to shut down the nation parks only to have to reimburse those that had reservations.
